New Method of Drying Laundry

Sunday afternoon I went outside to get some laundry off of the clothes line, and the girls and I wound up playing a few games with a big old sheet. Remember playing with the gigantic parachute in kindergarten where all the kids would hold it around in a circle then throw it up and jump under it? It works with 4 people and a sheet too! What started out as a 5 minute chore turned into an hour long playtime outside on a gorgeous Spring day. We had so much fun and it was so simple and spontaneous. Don’t worry I caught it on film.. er.. digital media. I even let the girls take a few shots of me.

Here are videos of each of the girls making sure the sheet was plenty dry before we folded it. :)

New Pictures and Updates

I have finally added a boatload of pictures and wanted to write a bit about them. I suggest when you do view them to use piclens, because each gallery has over a hundred pictures.
First off, I was so blessed to have been able to go out to Oklahoma back in February to spend a few [...]

More Beauty

I had to do one for Eliana and Chloe. I used a different technique this time, and I really like the results.

Natural Beauty

I was playing with Photoshop again tonight, exploring different filters and adjustments, and I came up with the following result:
She’s still just as pretty as she is in the original photo:
But you gotta admit that the extra focus brightens her up a bit more.

New Design, Finally!

So here I am, claiming to be an expert WordPress developer, yet my own personal blog has been stuck in the past for all this time. I designed this months ago, but finally got to the development part this past weekend.
It’s been a lot of fun working on it, and I hope everyone enjoys it. [...]

Reflections of my Inner Self

I was just in the kitchen a moment ago and looked out the window to see Lydia swinging by herself on the swing set. She never spoke to anyone, she barely looked around. She was quiet, no smile, no frown, just contentedness on her face. You can could tell her mind was off in some [...]

All Growed Up!

All the working mom’s out there can surely understand my joy when I say my three year old is finally potty trained. Yes, you read right, Chloe at the age of three, has still been struggling with diaper freedom. But I finally caught on to why. It wasn’t because she wasn’t able to, it was [...]

Bangs! and other updates

No, it’s not me, and it’s not Denise. See the pug nose? That is definitely Lydia. I had the sudden urge to give her bangs tonight, so I did! It scared her at first, but when I told her she looked like I did when I was a little girl, she giggled and decided she [...]

We’re Having a Blue Christmas

We’re redecorating the living room, and the new color scheme is blue, and various shades of brown. Chris will be painting two walls blue for me next week, but I went ahead and put the Christmas tree up with Eliana the other night. She was a great help, and it was a lot of fun. [...]
