Birthday Dinner
October 11th, 2007We’ll use just about any excuse to go out to eat nowadays. This time, it was Chloe’s birthday. Her party is this Saturday, but Tuesday was her actual birthday. We invited Pat-Pat, Mae-Mae, Ya-Ya, and Wa-Wa to go, and we went to Lonestar. Not Chucky Cheeses, or some sissy place, we went where we could get some good ribs. Chloe loves to eat ribs. Ever since she had enough teeth to enjoy meat, Chris has given her a rib bone with meat left on it, and she’ll gnaw it clean. This time, we gave her a full rib, two of them, actually. She enjoyed every morsel of meat she could get. That girl likes two things to eat, french fries, and meat!
We asked our waiter if they did anything for birthdays, and told him it was Chloe’s. They came out in a minute with a huge goblet of brownie and ice cream and sang to her. She had a half scowl, half grin the whole time, not sure if it was good or bad, and mostly just embarrassed. Once we let her loose on the ice cream though, it was nothing but smiles and chocolate smears. Amanda and Deb got pictures on their cell phones, not sure if I can get a copy of that or not.
We had a great time. Chloe didn’t know the difference, even though we were saying Happy Birthday every two minutes. For her party this weekend, we’re doing it in a Dora theme, and I think she’ll have a blast.
Dear *blushing*,
Our baby’s birthday was Monday NOT Tuesday. =)
I don’t know why I keep saying that! Sorry all, he’s right, it was Monday.
Grandma knew the statement was incorrect, I even have it written on my frige calender!!! Monday was kinda busy for us so we called Tuesday and sang our traditional four part harmony “Oh Happy Birthday to You!”
I am so happy for our baby having a birthday but I will be even happier for her when she comes to Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving!! They are going to love the yard, the roomy house and all Grandma’s attention:)
